Annual report on China's coal chemical industry - 2017 review and 13th Five-Year outlook

The modern coal chemical industry is considered as an important means to guarantee the energy security of our country in the era of high oil price, and its huge investment volume and output value have been welcomed by various places. Because of the continuous downturn in oil prices and the increase of environmental pressure, the ring of coal chemical project is fading, facing the problems of economic, environmental capacity and water supply.

However, we firmly believe that coal chemical industry has an irreplaceable role in guaranteeing a reasonable self-sufficiency rate of China's energy and chemical raw materials because of the natural resource characteristics of China's "rich coal, lack of oil and less gas".

In the first half of 2017, international crude oil prices were in the range of 45-55 US dollars / barrel. At the end of October, Brent crude oil price exceeded 60 US dollars / barrel. If the price of crude oil returns back to 80 dollars / barrel, the rich profit will attract the investment boom and drive the coal industry into a fast lane.
